The Rochester Hotel Association (RHA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the David Crumb Excellence in Hospitality Scholarship.
The RHA awards several scholarships every year to Hospitality students from both Monroe Community College and Rochester Institute of Technology. The scholarship awarded by the RHA has been given out annually for over a decade.
Since 1992, the RHA, has been an institution to help foster, develop and promote, the business of its fellow members. The association is a non-profit organization that allows the interchange of ideas and information, in order to support and protect the hotel industry in the Greater Rochester area.
"The Rochester Hotel Association and its membership are proud to present scholarships annually to hospitality students at RIT and MCC through funds raised at our annual golf tournament,” said Chris Mellone, Treasurer, Rochester Hotel Association. “We believe in the investment of education and want to support these students on their educational and professional journey. All of the scholarship award winners currently work in various hospitality operations in town. Our hope is that they will remain in the region to help bolster our reputation as a hospitality destination for years to come."
The scholarships to Rochester-area students were awarded at the December Visitor Industry Council meeting, hosted by Visit Rochester at the ROC Holiday Village.
